Dr. Lisa Park, Optometrist
“I would love if every single one of my pediatric patients grew up to not rely glasses or contacts for daily life… to not have my eyes.” - Dr. Lisa Park
Dr. Park is a proud Sagehen (Pomona College, Class of 2005) and a former middle school teacher. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Florida in 2012.
In September of 2019, she decided to open Focal Point Eyecare so she could take care of patients in Carrollton and the surrounding areas. She longed to help children see better, so after three years in a traditional optometry office, Dr. Park set out on a specialized mission.
In 2022, she opened the Focal Point Eyecare Institute of Myopia Management so she could prevent children’s eyesight from getting worse. This is a personal mission for Dr. Park, as she personally understands the struggles of a high prescription. Dr. Park is constantly on the hunt for the best and brightest in education and technology, blending her gentle teaching style with dramatic results.
A couple of fun facts about your favorite optometrist! Did you know Dr. Park currently plays violin with the New Texas Symphony Orchestra at Moody Performance Hall? (She’s pretty talented, though she won’t brag on herself.) Dr. Park has lived in nine different states: Ohio, New York, Missouri, Washington, California, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and Texas. (That’s a lot of moving!)
